BS in electrical or computer engineering or similar discipline
All applicants must indicate an area of interest for their thesis studies in the letter of intent.
Applicants with an international undergraduate degree should upload unofficial transcripts, diplomas, and mark sheets in the Department Documents section for initial review. The application must be submitted for the department to review transcripts. Do this before requesting an evaluation from an agency. Upon recommendation for admission, the evaluation fee will be paid for by the department. The MS degree concentrates on establishing a sound theoretical foundation and on exposing students to advanced developments in electrical and computer engineering. The critical thinking and high level of mathematical and algorithmic facility required by graduate courses allow MS graduates to provide technical leadership and contribute to innovative research and development.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
The MS degree typically takes two years to complete and involves a significant experiential learning component. Students work closely with a faculty adviser, develop the research and design tools necessary to participate in the leading-edge developments in the discipline, contribute to published scholarly articles, and report their work in a thesis. Applicants for MS program should indicate their research interests and preferred faculty advisor.
Requirements for Degree
(Thesis Option)
Credit hours: 32.
Required courses: 24 credit hours of graduate course work as specified by the advisory committee; 2 credit hours of Professional Writing course; 6 credit hours of thesis course.
Study list: submitted during first semester of graduate study.
Thesis.
Final oral examination consisting of public presentation of original research described in thesis.

Required courses: 30 credit hours of graduate course work as specified by the advisory committee; 2 credit hours of Professional Writing course.
