Course Description

Bioinformatics skills have become critical for biological research. This course is intended to introduce students to bioinformatics. Students will be introduced to the Linux operating system and gain skills in employing it in research. They will also learn computer-programming skills using the Python language. Students will acquire the skills to perform data manipulations and simple analyses on biological datasets.
