apply their learning to critique current programs
design appropriate mentoring programs for new teachers

Learning Outcome
Students will be able to identify the issues surrounding the learning and development of teachers as well as begin to explicate the nuanced complexities of teaching that are often assumed but not addressed and which affect teacher development and the mentoring of new teachers.
Students will be familiar with the research that has been done on issues surrounding teacher preparation and by the knowledge of how teachers learn and develop.
