Course Description

Applied methods and statistics in marriage and family therapy research. Outcomes include understanding research findings in research articles, ability to interpret statistical procedures (using SPSS or a similar software), developing a plan to prepare to use research in future professional development.

Students will learn the basics of entering, cleaning, and manipulating data in SPSS (or a similar data management software).

Students will learn to read, interpret and critique a variety of types of research reports, particularly methodologically.
