Contemporary modes of assessment and evaluation in STEM education and research. Complementing and extending traditional modes of assessment and evaluating quality, analyzing trends, and drawing conclusions regarding the effects of STEM education on student learning.

Candidates will evaluate STEM research and assessment, especially as it applies to national and international research and policy.

Candidates will collaborate with other members of a research team to develop a STEM-related research question, design and carry out a study to address that question, and produce a paper reporting the findings of the study.
