MFT 663 addresses various BYU MFT Master's Program Goals, Student Learning Outcomes (SLO's) and COAMFTE Developmental Competency Components as listed below (I'm not sure we need to list the first chunk on the BYU website, but this is here for our internal purposes): Program Goal 1: Train clinicians who are competent and ethical in using marriage and family therapy theories and interventions. SLO #2: Graduating students will be competent in MFT theory SLO #3: Graduating students will be competent in clinical practice SLO #4: Graduating students will understand and demonstrate ethical behavior COAMFTE Developmental Competency Components: Knowledge of the Profession, Professional Ethics, Law and Identity and Research and Evidence Based Practice.
