Learning Outcome

Students will demonstrate understanding of the basics of research design in general and specific research methods in communication disorders, including qualitative and quantitative research.

Learning Outcome

Through examination and class assignments where they will perform statistical analyses, students will demonstrate knowledge of the following statistical tests and their interpretation: descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, variance, standard deviation, skewness), correlation, t-test, ANOVA, and post-hoc tests.
