Learning Outcome
To increase students' understanding of current theoretical frameworks influencing family scholarship.
To sensitize students to the contextual issues that shape current family theory.
To increase students' ability to evaluate family theory, including awareness of presuppositions and values underlying family theories and research.
To increase students' understanding of the implicit and explicit ways that theory shapes family research.
To increase students' ability to use and create family theories.
